PGA Secretary's Cup Selection
The 2025 PGA HOPE Secretary’s Cup selections are here! The Southwest PGA HOPE program has been awarded a “wildcard” bid for the May 2025 event at the Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. This marks the first time a team from the Southwest PGA HOPE program and the Southwest PGA Foundation will participate in the prestigious event.
The PGA HOPE Secretary’s Cup is a unique and memorable experience that celebrates the PGA HOPE Program. It brings together military Veterans and PGA Professionals who work tirelessly to positively impact Veterans’ lives. The annual event, held during the week of the PGA Championship, began in 2016 and is named after the Secretary of Veteran Affairs in recognition of the Memorandum of Understanding between PGA REACH and the Department of Veteran Affairs.
Each team consists of four Veterans from a PGA HOPE program and one PGA or LPGA Professional. Team Southwest will represent over 1,500 military veterans from the Southwest Section who have transformed their lives through PGA HOPE. In 2025 alone, 24 facilities and 60 sessions will be conducted by over 30 PGA professionals in Arizona and Clark County, Nevada.
Team Southwest comprises veterans from all four branches of service—Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines—and one PGA professional. They include:
- Jamie Lewis, PGA General Manager, Sun City Country Club
- John DuTemple, Marine Corps Veteran
- Terry Braun, Navy Veteran
- Tony Miller, Air Force Veteran
- Matt Jackson, Army Veteran
- Casey Dorrell, Army veteran and PGA HOPE Ambassador
